The war of 1812 consisted for over three years of fighting between the Americans and the British.

June 1812
The U.S  General Hull declared war against Great Britain to begin the war of 1812.
 
 
July 1812
The Americans lead by General Hull Crossed the Detroit River into Upper Canada. Few British soldiers joined forces with the Americans from Upper Canada. British fur traders and natives capture Fort Michilimac on the land called Machinac Island joining the lakes of Lake Superior and Lake Michigan.

July 1812

August 1812
The Canadians lead by General James Brock and Native Cheif Techumsea were victorious at Detroit. As Hull surrendered thinking Brock had 5000 men when he only had 600 real soldiers. But because Hull surrendered he had to pass on his sword to Brock. The Canadians gathered 35 cannons, 2500 muskets, 500 rifles and ammunition

October 1812
At the Battle of Queenston Heights General Brock lead his men up the hill and got killed. It is known for the bloodiest battle ever. Over twelve hours of brute fighting. American ships were destroyed so the Americans couldn't flea.
